Guwahati-Shillong-Cherrapunjee

Arrive at Guwahati airport, after a brief welcome you will proceed to Shillong. Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya. It is the district headquarters of East Khasi Hills District and is situated at an altitude of 4,908 ft (1,496 m) above sea level. Enroute visit Umium Lake – the largest manmade lake. Check into hotel. Evening free at leisure. Overnight at Shillong.

After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (65km/1-2 hrs. approx) – the wettest place on the earth. En-route visit Elephant Falls & Shillong Peak at Shillong. At Cherrapunjee visit Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls & Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee drive back to Shillong. Dinner and overnight stay at Shillong.

Today After breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park : In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-kms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment. Check in to the hotel. Evening enjoy the traditional Bihu dance of Assam. Overnight at Kaziranga.

After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point in the Central Range (Kohoro) for an Elephant Ride to get a close glimpse of the One Horned Rhinoceros. After the ride return back to the lodge, having breakfast at 7 a.m. drive to the Central Rang (Kohora) of the park for a jeep safari or Western Range (Baguri) of the park. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kaziranga.

After breakfast drive to Guwahati. On arrival at Guwahati Check in hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Guwahati.

After breakfast proceed for half day sightseeing. Visit Kamakhya temple etc. later drop to airport for onward destination and the tour concludes here. Return home with sweet memories.
